
What sports and activities will my child participate in?
Each day the activities will change. One morning per week will be spent on horseback riding, golf, soccer, softball/baseball, tennis and/or field hockey. Each afternoon will feature fun activities including sailing (optional), volleyball, miniature golf, batting cages, badminton, horse shoes, cooperative games, relays, plus much more.

What are the camp prices?
The camp is the most affordable camp in the metropolitan area. Our directors and coaches are the best in the business. Each child will receive an affordable, quality education.

What are the camp hours?
Full Day Camp begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm. Half Day camps begin at 9:00 am and end at 1:00pm.

What are the Camp dates?
June 14 -18 (dependent on registration), June 21-25 (dependent on registration), June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, July27-July 31 possibly August 3-7 (if the other camps fill up)

Is transportation available?
For an additional charge, licensed school bus vans, fully equipped with seat belts and two-way radio dispatch, will pick up and drop off campers at convenient corners within major residential districts of Manhattan and Queens.

Are meals provided?
No, each child is responsible for providing his/her own lunch. The Randall’s Island Golf Center Grill will be open each day. If your child wishes to purchase food from grill, $6-10 should be sent daily. Please note that we wish to maintain a peanut free environment. Please do not send any food with peanuts or peanut oil.

Is there an After Care program?
To allow parents to complete their work day, Randall’s Island Sports Camp offers an after care program at the golf range from 4:30PM to 6:00PM each day. Parents may register for one-day or up to five days per week.

Now that I’ve enrolled my child in camp, how do I get to Randall’s Island Golf Center?
We offer a bus service that provides pick-up and drop-off at multiple locations in Manhattan. Randall’s Island is also easily accessible by car or public transportation. On-site parking is available with a free and the M35 bus stops at the entrance of the golf center. See the Contact Us page for detailed transportation directions.

If my child will be taking the bus to camp, when should we expect to receive confirmation on the time and place of pick up and drop off?
You will receive a call from the camp office Wednesday or Thursday of the week before your child will be attending camp with information on pick-up and drop-off times, and your location, for each week your child is enrolled in camp.

When arriving on the first day, where should I check in and drop off my child?
Each camp has a designated check-in desk in the corporate tent at Randall’s Island Golf Center where counselors will be seated at a table with a list of campers to check in. The set-up will be the same in the afternoon during check-out.

Should my child bring a bag or backpack? If so, what should I pack?
It is not necessary to pack anything for camp except the appropriate equipment necessary for the specific sport chosen (i.e. mouth guards for field hockey, baseball glove for baseball, personal tennis racket if preferred). However, if you would like to pack a snack or water bottle, or extra clothing, please make sure the bag is clearly marked with you child’s name, and it will be stored safely by the camp’s staff.

If my child takes medication during the day, how will it be administered to him/her?
Randall’s Island Sports Camps have athletic trainers or nurses that monitor the safety of the campers and who are in charge of dispensing medication to any child who has a note or instruction from the parents and the medication itself.

Will there be snack and drink breaks during the day?
Yes. There are water containers easily available at each camp venue. Camp programs have time during the day where the campers can purchase snacks from the snack bar at the golf center. Please provide your child with some change or dollar bills, if you would like them to be able to purchase a snack or beverage.

What should my child wear to camp?
We ask that your child always have sneakers and socks.

Is there recreation time during the day for the campers to be involved in other activities?
Absolutely. Each camp day has a recreation period where the campers return to the corporate tent at the Randall’s Island Golf Center. Once back at the golf center, the campers will participate in a sailing trip (optional), miniature golf, volleyball, badminton, batting cages, bocce ball, cooperative activities, relay races, etc.

Is there a safe Inclement Weather location?
During inclement weather the campers will be taken to the indoor tennis facility on Randall’s Island for indoor sports activities.
The camp day ends at 4pm. What if I am unable to pick my child up until later in the afternoon?
Randall’s Island offers an After Care program. The programs runs from 4:30-6pm each day and provides campers with activities such as board games and videos. The cost for After Care is $120/week or pro-rated at $30/day. A late fee is charged if you pick your child up after 6pm.
